Barbecues Visitors may use either the fireplaces provided, or your own portable gas barbecues. Heat beads are not permitted. Cooking is not permitted in the shelter sheds. If a TOTAL FIRE BAN is in force, it is illegal to light any fire and BBQs are not permitted. All areas have drinking water and toilets nearby. It is illegal to light a fire in any area except designated fire places

Firewood is scarce, visitors must bring in their own wood. Collecting firewood is not allowed. Native animals, insects and fungi use trees and fallen wood as habitat.

Amplified music, public address systems and generators are not allowed.

Amusement equipment The Service emphasizes that it is providing recreational opportunities in a natural setting. Amusement equipment is considered inappropriate and therefore is not permitted.

Swimming is not recommended in the Lane Cove River because of snags, cold deep water and water quality after rain.

Walking tracks The park's walking tracks provide for a closer look at and enjoyment of the bush. All visitors are to keep to the tracks to avoid damage to the native vegetation and disturbance of habitat. Cycling is not permitted on walking tracks.

Fire bans On certain days during summer we may ban all fires. On these days you must not light fires. There are some exceptions, see the fire ban pamphlet. If visitors want to know if it is a fire ban tell them to listen to weather reports or ring the Rural Fire Service or check on the Bureau of Meteorology website.

Selling Selling of any description is not allowed.

Garbage Recycling bins are provided. Please make use of them to assist in the reduction of landfill.

Fishing Restrictions are in place. Please observe signs.

Ball games We ask you not to use hard balls in the park for the safety of other visitors.

Cleaning up We expect visitors to leave the area clean. If the area is left untidy we may charge them up to $220 to clean up the area to ensure it is ready for use by other groups

Signs Details of the booking will be displayed at each park Entrance Gate and at the booked area. The area number and group's name will be specified. Due to damage and litter caused in the past, additional signs are not to be erected or placed on trees, park signs or any other structure within the park.

Closing times Please be aware that all NSW national parks officially close at sunset. Vehicle entry gates are locked about half an hour before sunset.
