Eco Tourism

As part of the Lane Cove National Park, our environment is best described as woodlands and eucalypt forest.

Our commitment to Eco Tourism allows us to promote our native surroundings and manage our tourism activities in a sustainable way.

Andrew Daff

as manager and leader of these initiatives, is always willing to help others achieve their own environmental goals, be they large or small. Feel free to contact him via our contact page.

Ecotourism

is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that fosters environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.

The Tourist Park has developed a range of Eco Tourism Activities and programs that are available to both park guests and the borader community.

Accommodation

is available in family or ensuite cabins with many cabins fitted with solar energy arrays and water tanks. Camping areas & tent sites are environmentally friendly with every possible piece of rubbish being recycled. Our campervan & caravan sites are equally ecotourism friendly.

Activities

There is an evening night tour of the park that includes a talk on native animals and habitat.  Your guide is a qualified Discovery Officer, who, will happily answer any questions on native flora or fauna.

There is also our association with The Friends of Lane Cove National Park.  We are pleased to be able to offer an additional 10% reduction in fees when any visitor joins the Friends for vounteer bush regenration work whilst they are staying at the park.
