Wild Wild World offers great environmentally friendly things to do while you're in Sydney.
Operated by National Parks & Wildlife the aim of the website is to highlight some of the great activities
available to all members of the public, be they young or old, in National Parks.
Competitions, tips & information on parks & a great range of walks, talks & tours throughout this great state.

General Facilities at Lane Cove River Tourist Park
Amenities Blocks. The Park boasts four amenities blocks, all cleaned daily. Separate disabled facilities and baby baths are available free of charge from the office.
Wireless Internet. The Park has its own wireless internet network.Access is via our terminals or from your laptop. Unlimited download & upload.
Access time can be purchased from reception at competitive rates.
Please note: Wireless reception is NOT available across the entire park.
Laundries. There are four laundries, each with fully automatic coin operated washing machines, dryers, ironing boards, irons and clothes lines positioned perfectly in the sun.
Recreation Room. A place for everyone. Includes large screen plasma TV, internet kiosk and provision for multiple laptop internet connections with power available.
Camp Kitchens. When you can't bring the kitchen sink just use ours - along with refrigerators, microwave ovens, gas top burners, instant hot water and tables and chairs. There are now two equipped kitchens at each end of the park.
Sheltered BBQ's. Scattered around the park and nestled amongst the natural bushland are a variety of free, gas and electric barbeques and picnic tables.
Swimming Pool. Cool off with a splash in the pool. This large, outdoor, shaded pool is also accompanied by a smaller paddling pool for the little ones.
Lane Cove National Park. The Lane Cove River Tourist Park is nestled within the beautiful Lane Cove National Park with its many picnic areas, playgrounds and other attractions. Picnic areas can be booked ahead.
Vehicle entry into the Lane Cove National Park is included in your fees when you stay at Lane Cove River Tourist Park. You must display your receipt on the dashboard upon entering the Park.
North Ryde RSL operates a courtesy bus every night at 6.15pm. Bookings need to be made at the office before 5pm please.
545 bus service. Chatswood to Parramatta. The 545 bus service operates from the corner of Plassey Road and Delhi Road. Buses run frequently all day, Monday to Sunday. Full bus timetables are available from the office
North Ryde train station. There is a regular and frequent service operating directly to the city via Chatswood. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes.
This train station also operates services via Macquarie University station which is directly under the Macquarie Shopping Centre. You can in fact reach any suburban train station from North Ryde.
Reception. At reception you can buy ice, milk and dairy products, bread, chips, public transport passes, newspapers and washing powder. Gas refills are available from reception between 8.00am and 4.00pm. Accurate & useful tourist information is available from all of our very friendly staff. The office is open from 7.30am to 7.00pm every day of the year.
Bike Hire. You can now hire a bike for the duration of your stay, or by the hour. We have a range of kids bikes/scooters, grown up bikes, and bikes with a baby seat attached. Helmets are included. Please ask at reception.
