Tandara - it’s a little bit special and is Sydney’s very own 'Night Under Stars' experience. Tandara is unique, there is only one.

A spacious self-contained canvas tent within its own private sanctuary nestled within the Lane Cove National Park, just 12km north of the Sydney CBD, Tandara is Sydney’s only luxury under canvas experience.

The ultimate Australian bush accommodation. Enjoy an oasis of lush gardens whilst sitting on the deck in tranquil and private surrounds with an abundance of native wildlife. Enjoy a lazy afternoon sipping a glass of wine on the private deck or take a leisurely bicycle ride through the National Park.

Tandara is superbly decorated and provides the latest in modern, luxury appointments. A king size bed, beautiful linen, mood lighting and gourmet barbeque area combine to ensure your ‘camping’ trip is truly memorable.

A unique experience

A wonderful ‘Night Under Stars’ experience, Tandara affords guests a tranquil location to spoil someone special. Harmoniously integrated into the Australian bush, Tandara was built to offer something very different to a traditional camping experience. It reflects a practical approach to integrating a tourism development on land within a National Park.

Positioned on the edge of a sandstone shelf with views across the Lane Cove Valley, Tandara offers sustainable luxury amidst 600 hectares of National Park.

Tandara is the result of an innovative approach taken by Lane Cove River Tourist Park to offer something different to what is usually found at a camping ground.

                                                            

Tent and sanctuary facilities

Escaping in a tent does not mean guests have to compromise on those little luxuries. A large flat screen TV with Blue Ray DVD player makes the perfect accompaniment to the gourmet BBQ with all the necessary equipment. An outdoor dining table provides a wonderful location to enjoy the unspoilt views of the Australian bush.

A good nights sleep is almost guaranteed as guests are able to take advantage of the king size bed with quality fittings.The private ensuite facilities feature a gorgeous bathtub and double walk-in shower.

Things to see and do

Mountain bikes and helmets are provided for you to enjoy the many kilometres of roads within Lane Cove National Park. Joining a wildlife tour is also a fantastic opportunity for guests to learn more about the unique variety of animals who may visit Tandara; kookaburras, lorikeets, water dragons, tawny frogmouths, ringtail and brushtail possums, powerful owls, sugar gliders and the endangered bandicoots.

There are a vast array of bushwalks within the Lane Cove National Park and a visit to the river is always a treat. Kayaks, canoes and pedal boats can be hired from the Lane Cove Boatshed on weekends and are an excellent option for our more energetic guests.

Tandara is designed specifically for couples with a maximum occupancy of two people.
